Meet Kenny Hill

As a political outsider, Kenny Hill will bring needed change to the mayor's office.

At an early age, he learned the importance of serving others and giving back. This outlook has allowed him to achieve success at home, in business and in the community.

Kenny was raised by a single mother and is the eldest of seven children. As a child, he worked hard to help his mom and support the family. Kenny worked at The Home Depot to pay his way through college and received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. After 30 years of service, Kenny retired from The Home Depot and he and his wife founded The Launchpad Foundation to provide housing, life skills and career training to the homeless.

His faith in God, community activism and desire to serve the community has played large roles in his life. Kenny embraces leadership opportunities and advocates for those whose voices are not heard. Kenny is married to Clarisa and they have two daughters. Kenny is living his dream and is striving to help others achieve their dreams.

The City of Atlanta is in a pit, which is unacceptable to Kenny.

Crippling crime and corruption is making our communities unsafe, threatening our way of life.

You deserve a mayor who will stand up against this type of life. A mayor who has your interest at heart, not their own. A mayor who is accessible, approachable, and accountable.

Kenny is the only candidate dedicated to ridding Atlanta of the corruption and political posturing that holds the great City of Atlanta back.

Kenny is a political outsider not a career politician.

He has the Plan for Peace that Atlanta needs.

Kenny's Accomplishments

From 2015-present, our Launch Pad Foundation has provided Affordable Housing for homeless and single mothers, provided Mentoring and Literacy Development for at risk students, provided Community Clean-ups where 5-tons of debris has been removed from roadways, green spaces, and creeks, and provided Police Precinct Facelifts.

As a District Manager with The Home Depot, Kenny established the proven ability to work with and lead large teams of individuals who may have vastly different opinions, but came together to deliver timely solutions in situations often viewed as “near impossible.”

From supporting our first responders who keep our community safe, to community clean up drives to improve quality of life and to establishing reading programs in our schools to promote literacy and education. Kenny Hill doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk.

The LaunchPad

The Launch Pad Foundation was founded in 2014 it serves as a vehicle to take people from homelessness and disenfranchisement into sustainable housing. We partner with local homeless shelters and placement organizations to identify individuals who can benefit from the housing assistance while they acquire the skills needed to become self-sustained.

National Mentor of the Year

We Read Together is an incentive-based community reading program that aims to make reading a strength for elementary school aged students. The program seeks to engage the parents and encourage them to create learning environments in the home. By creating set aside times for family reading and sharing without distractions, students connect with their parents around reading and learning.

Keep Our Community Clean

With Keep Our Community we strive to Keep Our Community Clean, Safe, and Thriving.

By Keeping Our Community Clean, Safe and Thriving we reduce crime, improve property values, and the quality of life. The Second Saturday of every month is dedicated to community clean events.

Since September 2016, we have removed over 5 tons of debris with the help of over 500 volunteers contributing to over 1,200 hours of community service.
